At Plummer Park, Open Play is about fairness, friendliness, and sportsmanship. Everyone is welcome, and Tuesday mornings are especially geared toward creating a supportive environment for beginners. Come ready to share your best energy — on and off the court.
• All players must check in and receive a colored sticker before entering the courts, within the first 15 minutes of the Open Play session.
• Players without a sticker may not participate.
• If you haven’t checked in within 15 minutes of the session start time, your spot may be given away to a waitlisted player.
• Please arrive early to maximize your playing time.
• A Tennacity staff member will be present at every Open Play session.
• Staff will take attendance, manage waitlisted players, and provide oversight to keep play moving smoothly.
• You must cancel at least 12 hours in advance through PlayByPoint to receive a refund.
• If you late cancel (within 12 hours) or no-show 3 times within a 30-day period:
• 1st & 2nd Offense: Warning by email, push notification, or text.
• 3rd Offense: Removal from all current and future Open Play registrations and a 30-day suspension from booking.
• Each offense drops off after 30 days.
Plummer Park (4 multipurpose courts: 6A, 6B, 7A, 7B)
• Max: 30 players
• All courts are community open play unless designated otherwise (see schedule updates).
• Paddle system: paddles go in the Paddle Rack on Court 6 (clip indicates the next 4 players on).
• First 4 paddles placed = next game on.
• Games to 11, win by 2.
Tuesday Morning – Beginner / Rising Intermediate
• All 4 courts plus the Paddle Tennis court will be in rotation.
• Designed as a welcoming environment for beginner and rising intermediate players.
• Please support newer players with patience and encouragement.
• No skipping paddles or moving others in line.
Thursday Morning – Advanced Challenge Courts
Separate Signup under the Advanced Open Play Challenge Program
• All 4 courts will run as Challenge Courts.
• Winning team may stay on for 2 games maximum before rotating off.
• Next challengers rotate in.
• Ensures competitive play while keeping matches moving.
Waitlist
• Players on the waitlist are not charged initially.
• You will be notified if a spot opens via PlayByPoint.
• A notification does not mean you are automatically in. Respond quickly and pay the entry fee online (or by app/in person) to confirm your spot.
Rain Policy
• In the event of a rainout, players will be automatically refunded.

• West Hollywood Residents: $5
• West Hollywood Senior Residents (55+): $3.50
• Non-Residents: $7
• Proof of residency is required (please bring to the office so it can be noted in the system).
Important Reminders
• Do not move other players’ paddles.
• Want to play with friends? Please book a private court outside of Open Play hours.
• Respect the paddle and rotation system – it keeps play fair for everyone.
• Players are expected to respect all participants and enjoy the game.
• A minimum of 6 signups are required for a session.
• Players may book up to 7 days in advance.
• Tennacity, in collaboration with the City of West Hollywood, reserves the right to update Open Play rules and policies at any time.
• Courts may be reassigned to the general public on days when Open Play does not reach capacity.
