Era Pickleball 4.0 Champion's Series

What's the Champion's Series?

The Champion's Series at ERA is a 12-week skill-based program featuring round-robin to bracket-style play. Players will be able to register based on their DUPR rating. You will accumulate points based on performance during the event to determine eligibility for the Tournament of Champions held at the end of the series.

What's the Tournament of Champions (ToC)?

The Tournament of Champions is the big finale of our Champions series. This tournament is always our highest-paid tournament for all levels. The only way to gain eligibility for this tournament is to play in our Champions Series and to win our primary tournaments. The top 16 players from each skill will be eligible to enter the ToC. Player ranking will be determined based on the points accumulated throughout the series and displayed publicly on ERA's website.

How are points determined?

Points are based on round-robin and bracket performance.

Will there be relegation?

Yes, we will enforce player relegation. We relegate players to ensure the highest level of competition in our Champions Series. You will be asked to play in a lower bracket if there's a continued poor performance in play week-over-week.

Relegation Rules:

  • 1 win or less in 2 consecutive weeks.
  • A negative point differential of -35 or more once.

Points to note

  • We will allow up to 4 players to "try" the next skill level up.
  • Players can have multiple ranks if they try multiple brackets. For example, if a player tries 4.0 and normally plays in 3.5, that player will now have 2 rankings, both in 3.5 and 4.0.
