IRCTA League play is coming around again. The week of January 27th is the opening week, so make your plans and contact your captains. We will have organizational meetings on the Deck the week of January 13th , and Team Trainings resume the week of January 6th. Details to follow as we get closer.

Box seats can be purchased by calling the Shop. We have 2, 4, and 6 seaters remaining. Box seats are for the entire week and guarantee access to the VIP pavilion with complimentary fare and a full member charge bar.

General Admission tickets are available at “Eventbrite.com”. The Grand Harbor Food Truck is on site daily.

PICKLEBALL

The Island Pickleball League will kick off the week of January 27^th. The format will be a bit different for the Winter League. Additional details will be clarified following the meeting with participating club pros.

What is DUPR?

Dynamic Universal Pickleball Rating (DUPR) is the most accurate and only global rating system in pickleball. All players, regardless of their age, gender, location, and skill, are rated on the same scale between 2.000-8.000, based on their match results.

Who can have a DUPR rating? DUPR is free, and anyone can get a rating. All it takes is a few steps to start tracking your performance and improving your game! If you’ve ever played in a Pickleball tournament, you most likely already have a DUPR rating and can claim your account at dupr.com or by downloading the iOS or Android app.

We are working hard to build every player a DUPR account. This will be our "go to rating."

With DUPR , we will input scores twice a month during Scrambles (attendance optional and dates will be specified).

You may also request a private rating session with Marco or Alex to better understand which Clinics and Scrambles are the best fit for you.

We will hold a rating clinic three times each month.

You can also download the app and input your own scores. Prior to entering the scores, all four players on the court must agree to the score being entered.

League play scores will be factored into your rating.

This will give each player various opportunities to improve their ratings. 

INTRO TO PICKLEBALL

On Monday, all players new to pickleball were invited to share an “Intro to Pickleball” with our pros and member ambassadors in attendance. With over two dozen participants and our Food Truck on site, it was an all around good time for all.
