Rome Downtown Racquets Center

Rome Downtown Racquets Center

Rome Tennis Center at Berry College (RTCBC) opened in 2016 and features 57-courts on a 30 acre site. The site is comprised of USTA standard, asphalt tennis courts, 6 NCAA regulation courts, 6 indoor courts and 3 center courts for tournament and collegiate play. All courts have lighting and access to shade structures. The terraced design provides ADA accessibility to all courts and has wider entry ways to accommodate sport chairs for wheelchair tennis. The 3,966-square-foot, lodge-like clubhouse is a focal point of the facility. One key element of the clubhouse is the 2,656 sq. ft. tennis porch that overlooks “main event” courts and NCAA-regulation courts. Only upon visiting the site can one appreciate the spectacular, panoramic view that is afforded from the porch. The indoor facility was completed in 2020 and boasts six indoor hard courts available for play. The 51,063 square foot facility is conditioned for play to stay cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. With seating for just over 400 spectators the indoor center is ready to host to events and tournaments for all levels of play. Top Spin Terrace is a viewing deck that was added in 2021. It provides excellent views of the championships courts as well an encompassing view of the facility and the rolling hills and trees that surround the site.
